Found my name… in a bottle of Bulgarian water

During the Automattic AI meetup in New York, a teammate from Bulgaria casually mentioned that there’s a bottled water brand back home called Devin. She even showed me the logo, and I had to laugh. I’ve seen my name on coffee cups, but never on a water label.

What made it even more interesting is that I’ve recently started drinking alkaline water after my chiropractor recommended it. Turns out, this Bulgarian “Devin” water is naturally alkaline, with a pH around 9.5, and comes from the Rhodope Mountains in the “Devin region.” I didn’t even know there was a Devin region. You learn something new every day.

Now I’m curious to visit Bulgaria one day, not just to explore the scenery but to actually try this water straight from the source. It’s a small thing, but a fun reminder of how connected the world can feel in unexpected ways.
